A van at a car dealership in Dudley has been destroyed after it burst into flames next to a vehicle workshop.
The van was owned by an independent trader who had gone to the T Wall Vauxhall garage in Pensnett High Street to carry out work on car tyres, the Express and Star reported. The man hooked up the van’s electrics to carry out the work, but when he returned moments later the entire vehicle was engulfed in flames, leading to fire crews being called to the site. The van was completely burnt out and there was also damage caused to the workshop building it was parked next to.

Fire crews from Brierley Hill were called to the Midlands dealership on Friday (9 May). They used breathing equipment and two hoses to put out the fire but the van was well beyond repair while the heat of the flames had also melted the side of the building.
Firefighters say they do not know what caused the van to set alight but it is thought to have been an electrical fault with the vehicle. No one was hurt in the incident.
