An independent car dealership group is expanding its business with a new showroom in Surrey.
Big Cars, which was started by former BMW salesman Adam Stott in 2008, has taken over a former Vauxhall site in Addlestone. It means the Essex-based business now has three outlets.
If you are expanding your business, whether that is adding new premises, improving your current location or changing the number or type of vehicles you stock, it’s vital to ensure you have the right levels of motor trade insurance and road risks insurance.
Big Cars’ Mr Stott said: “Big Cars are very excited to be expanding into Surrey, bringing our customer first business ethos to a new area.
“This site is in an excellent location and will allow us to offer the residents of Addlestone extensive choice when it comes to purchasing their next vehicle.”
The new outlet will open in April and adds to the group’s head office in Chelmsford and second Essex site in Witham.
Big Cars sells an average of 150 cars every month, employs 50 people and now has an annual turnover of around £1 million.
The new showroom at Addlestone is expected to quickly add to the company’s revenues due to its good location in an area where there is a lack of quality dealerships, AM-Online reported.
Mark Frostick, from property consultants Rapleys, which helped to organise the expansion into the new site, said: “There is a shortage of good quality car dealerships within the M25. With competition from other retailers and the return of residential developers, there are relatively few sites available, so we had a strong level of interest in this site.”
He added that car dealers based in and around London are currently able to make a premium on car sales because there are so few of them.
