The Sunday Times has announced the results of its annual Best 100 Companies To Work For survey and two automotive traders have topped the podium for the big company category.
Inchcape UK, based in Oxfordshire, topped the list, after coming eighth in 2015, and second place was taken by Sytner in the 25 Best Big Companies category, according to AM Online.
The 25 Best Big Companies category is for firms employing 3,000-plus staff and is judged by anonymous surveys filled out by some 241,361 workers — who each got to opine about their bosses, working conditions and employer values. Inchcape has 5,417 workers on its books while Sytner has a total of 6,355.
The two car dealerships beat plenty of stiff competition in the form of Nationwide (third place), American Express (fifth), McDonald's (eighth) and Halfords (18th), for example. In the leading 100 Best Companies To Work For list, car finance providers MotoNovo and Zuto came sixth and 18th respectively, while dealer Citygate Automotive came 36th.
Whether your car dealership did well in the lists or not, you still need to have a good level of motor trade insurance and road risks insurance to cover the stock you’re buying.
