A pair of motor traders have been rewarded for racking up a combined total of 80 years working for the same company.
Nick Hartin, aged 56, and Paul Cox, aged 64, both joined Evans Halshaw in 1974, starting their careers as apprentices. Each having worked for the firm for 40 years, they have climbed the ladder to hold senior positions for the car dealership and were awarded £100 gift cards for their loyal service.
The quality of the staff is essential to the success of any business, particularly customer facing companies such car dealerships. Therefore, protecting staff is of utmost importance and to do so a firm should ensure it has employer's liability cover as part of a combined motor trade insurance policy, which will offer protection to employees should they suffer an injury while at work.
Mr Hartin has worked his way up through the ranks to become the service advisor for the Stourbridge dealership. Mr Cox, meanwhile, is a supervisor in the parts department of the Kingswinford branch.
Evans Halshaw praised the pair for their “exemplary service with the dealership”. Tom Hedges, dealer principal, added: “I would like to extend a huge thanks to Paul and Nick for their years of loyal service.
“They are real assets to the team and in an industry used to so much change, their loyalty and contribution to the success of the dealership has been invaluable.”
